Anna Hansen, owner of The Hex Press Printing Company, will be leading this three-hour printing workshop to create a unique version of traditional Tibetan prayer flags.
Tibetan prayer flags have a long history of being a means of spreading prayers and sacred texts from one community to another. Eventually these hand printed flags were hung in a space with the intention of spreading positive hopes and mantras. These communities believed that when the wind passed through the flags, the blessings would carried and spread throughout the land.
The flags we will be designing are meant to be just that: a message and/or image of hope, love, or positive energy that you wish to share with your community. In this class you will design your own image, learn to carve your block and use it to print onto fabric flags.
$45 to register. All materials will be provided. Class is dependent on a minimum of 5 students, and a maximum of 12. To reserve your spot, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
